The fifth movie in the action franchise follows IMF agents Hunt and his compatriots, including returning stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and new femme fatale Rebecca Ferguson ( Hercules) as they try to crack a havoc-wreaking team of rogue agents called the Syndicate.
A sequel, entitled Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, was released in December 2011. It received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success.
